Since 1997, Fuerteventura Airport has provided a schools activity programme for all students in pre-school and primary education in Fuerteventura (children from three to eleven years old).
Through this programme, the aim is that the youngsters, in addition to visiting and finding out about the airport, can relate the functions of the airport and air travel to the social and economic development of the island.
All the island's schools participate in Fuerteventura Airport's student activities; a total of 48 schools with more than 1,500 students who do various activities such as airport visits, painting and writing competitions, etc.
