Regulations on carrying medicines in hand luggage and checked luggage.
Luggage: Medicines
The existing regulations allow passengers to travel from any European Union airport with solid medication, provided that it is accompanied by its corresponding medical prescription. Should this be the case, it is recommended that you carry them in your hand luggage.
Liquid medicines are exempted from the restrictions which affect the carrying of liquids in hand luggage, as long as you need to use them during the journey (departing flight + stay + return flight). In order to do this, you will have to present the medication separately at the security checkpoint, out of the plastic bag that is required for other liquids. Passengers may be required to prove its authenticity at the security checkpoint. It is recommended that, whenever possible, passengers carry with them their medical prescription or proof of their particular condition.
If you need to carry other medical utensils (syringes for diabetics, measurement apparatus, etc.), you must inform your airline beforehand, which will tell you what procedure to follow.
If you are going to travel to a country outside the European Union, we recommend that you check the terms of bringing medication with your airline.
