The AENA Airport Slot Coordination Office is responsible for assigning the slots/operation times of all the flights operating in Spanish airports and for ensuring their compliance.
Slot coordination or assigning enables the optimisation of managing airline access to a limited resource, airport capacity, while slot monitoring detects scheduling behaviour which affects the optimum use of that capacity, and applies the corrective measures needed to resolve it.
